The United Nations Coalition on Combating Sand and Dust Storms will convene online its 12th meeting on 12 March 2026. The meeting will bring together members of the Coalition to discuss progress in advancing coordinated United Nations efforts to address sand and dust storms and to support the implementation of the United Nations Decade on Combating Sand and Dust Storms (2025–2034). Discussions will focus on United Nations Secretary-General's Framework for the United Nations Decade, international Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms theme and observances, preparation of the Secretary-General's Report to the General Assembly on Combating Sand and Dust Storms and Coalition mapping, website and database development.
